Gudhjem Vandrerhjem is one of the oldest hostels in Denmark, located in front of the Baltic Sea, in the beautiful village of Gudhjem.
We are in the center of town near the harbor, where the ferry departs to Christiansø, at a walking distance to the Røverborgen (coastline from Nørresand), Gråmyr, Hestestenene, 15 minutes’ walk to Melsted sand beach, and close to museums and art spots such as Oluf Høst Museum, Gallery Søren Kent and Gudhjem Glasrøgeri.
Around us there is beautiful nature and a wide variety of restaurants and bars.
Our rooms are distributed in the main and 1st floor of the building, some with a view of the Baltic Sea and some with a view of the main street of Gudhjem. We have showers and toilets distributed both on the ground floor and on the first floor of the main building.
We have several internal common areas, where you can relax, read a book, play a board game with your family or friends, enjoy a delicious meal, coffee, and drinks.
On the ground floor of the main building, we have a kitchen equipped with all the necessary for you to make a good lunch or dinner, with free tea and coffee.
We count with a paid laundry area in case you need to wash your clothes.
Reception is located at the big patio, in the outdoor common area facing Brøddegade, the main street of Gudhjem, where you can enjoy the bright summer sun and share time with your loved ones. The big patio is exclusively for the Hostel Vandrerhjem guests.
If you feel like having a snack with some light music and nice surroundings, we invite you to the beautiful and cozy cafe overlooking the Baltic Sea, where you can also enjoy a delicious breakfast, or a delicious meal with a drink watching the sunset. This area is reserved for customers who like to enjoy some of the menu offered at the café.
